FOUNDATION

The MBA for Women Foundation is a charitable organization that provides financial support to talented and ambitious women pursuing a full-time MBA at one of the world’s leading business schools. It was established in 2009 by Dr. Mirjam Staub-Bisang, an INSEAD MBA alumna (Class of 1999)

Dr. Mirjam Staub-Bisang, Chair
Dr. Mirjam Staub-Bisang is Chair of the Board and Senior Advisor for BlackRock Switzerland, where she previously served as CEO, member of the EMEA Executive Committee and Senior Advisor to BlackRock Sustainable Investing. She serves on several corporate and investment boards, including the Investment Committee of British International Investment, the UK’s development finance institution.

A recognized thought leader in sustainable finance, she has authored and co-authored seminal books on the topic. She has been honoured with multiple industry distinctions, including listings among Switzerland’s Most Important Bankers and Top 100 Women, HERoes Global Top 100 Executives and the WEF Young Global Leaders. She later served on the WEF Future Council on Nature-Based Solutions and the YGL Foundation Board.
Before BlackRock, she chaired a major Swiss multi-employer pension fund and was CEO of a Zurich-based investment firm and multi-family office she co-founded. She held senior positions in asset management and private equity at Commerzbank and Swiss Life and advised corporates as at Merrill Lynch and as a lawyer. She holds a PhD in Law from the University of Zurich, an MBA from INSEAD, and is a licensed attorney-at-law.


Prof. Dr. Drs.h.c. Iris Bohnet, Trustee 
Prof. Dr. Iris Bohnet is the former Academic Dean of the Harvard Kennedy School. She is also the co-director of the Women and Public Policy Program, the faculty director of the social sciences at the Radcliffe Institute and the faculty co-chair of the executive education program “Global Leadership and Public Policy for the 21st Century” for the World Economic Forum’s Young Global Leaders.
Bohnet is the author or co-author of award-winning books, including What Works: Gender Equality by Design and Make Work Fair. She serves on the Workplace Innovation Council (Aspen and Pivotal), as Special Advisor on the Gender Equality Acceleration Plan to the UN Secretary-General/Deputy Secretary-General and previously, as a member of the Gender Equality Advisory Council of the G7. She also serves on the advisory boards of Women in Banking and Finance, the UK Government’s Equalities Office, EDGE and the Mueller-Moehl Foundation. She was named one of the Most Influential Academics in Government and one of the most Influential People in Gender Policy by apolitical.  She is the recipient of several awards and honorary degrees and holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Zurich.


Dr. Franz B. Humer, Trustee
Following a career as a management consultant in Zurich, Franz joined Schering Plough Inc in
1973, where he held several positions including General Manager for various Latin American
and European countries. He joined Glaxo Holdings in 1981 and was appointed Managing Director of Glaxo Pharmaceuticals UK Ltd in 1987.
In 1989 he was elected to the Board of Glaxo Holdings plc and in 1992 became Chief Operating Director for Glaxo’s worldwide (ex-US) operations. Franz joined F. Hoffmann-La Roche in 1995 as Head of its Pharmaceuticals Division and as a member of the board. He was appointed Chief Operating Officer in 1996, Chief Executive Officer in 1998 and Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer in April 2001. From March 2008 to March 2014, he was Chairman of the Board of Directors of Roche Holding Ltd. Under his leadership, Roche rose to become one of the top three global pharmaceutical companies.
He has served as chairman of several international companies: Diageo Plc, Citigroup New York, INSEAD, International Center of Missing and Exploited Children, Humer Stiftung and was a member of the board of Allianz SE, Jacobs Holding AG, Kite Pharmaceuticals, Emil Frey Holdings (larges European car dealership), Temasek, Cydar Medical, Neogene Therapeutics and HMNC Holding Brain Health.

Franz brings decades of managerial experiences to his current activities as: Member of the Board of Directors Allogene Therapeutics, Chair of the Board of Directors Kallyope, Member of the Board of Directors LetterOne, Advisor to Breakthrough Properties (USA).


Carolina Müller-Möhl, Trustee
Carolina Müller-Möhl is an investor, philanthropist, and founder of the Müller-Möhl Group and Foundation. Known for leadership, she has served on numerous boards incl. Nestlé, NZZ Media Group, Orascom Development, Fielmann, and Universities of St. Gallen & Zurich. Often the only woman at the table, she advances female talent via nomination committees. Since 2019 she has focused her philanthropy on women’s representation, co-founding taskforce4women, EqualVoice, the EDGE Certified Foundation, and GenCEO. She holds a master’s in political science and is a sought-after speaker and columnist. Honors include WEF Young Global Leader (2007), World Woman Hero Award (2025), and Top 100 Women in Business.


Nina Probst, Trustee
Nina Probst Is the Managin
g Partner of McKinsey’s Geneva office, specializing in large-scale operating model and organizational transformations, as well as leadership development across a range of sectors, with a special focus on consumer goods, retail, and luxury. As People & Organizational Performance Leader Switzerland. I help organizations thrive by optimizing structures, fostering healthy cultures, and driving sustainable change.
She completed her MBA from INSEAD in Singapore and Fontainebleau in July 2010. Previously she worked as an attorney at the law firm Bär & Karrer in Zurich. Nina Probst holds a master’s in law from the University of Geneva and an MBA from INSEAD in Singapore and Fontainebleau.
